For Round 8 of the A League, Moynalty welcomed St Colmcilles. The match started with both teams exchanging points. Moynalty scored a total of 1 goal and 10 points, with 2 of those points being super scores by Kian Lynch and Gavin Lynch. St Colmcilles managed to break through the Moynalty defence but were denied a goal by a great save from Johnny Lynch. They did, however, score 5 points in the first half. Just before halftime, Moynalty exhibited great patience and maintained possession on numerous times by cleverly passing the ball around without rushing their final ball. Eventually, they found an opening in St Colmcilles' rear guard and Ronan Lynch kicked the ball into the back of the net. The halftime score was Moynalty 1-10, St Colmcilles 0-05. The second half mirrored the first with Moynalty continuing their strong performance. They added a further 8 points to their tally which included 2 points from 45's, scored off the boot of our goalkeeper Johnny Lynch. St Colmcilles managed 3 points in the second half largely thanks to a very dominant back line. Moynalty emerged as convincing winners in the end with a final scoreline of Moynalty 1-18, St. Colmcilles 0-08. There was good performances from Gavin Lynch, Cormac Kearney, James Cassidy and Pauric O' Connor.
