Moynalty 2:08 Killary Emmett's 1:08 Moynalty travelled to Kilmainhamwood on Sunday to take on Killary Emmets in the last group game of the U15 Championship. Killary started the better kicking two points in the opening 5 mins. Moynalty replied with two of their own and it was clear from these early exchanges that this was going to be a tight game. With both teams trading points Moynalty went in at half time with the slender lead of two points. Half time score Moynalty 0:05, Killary Emmets 0:03. Joe Mc Mahon gave Moynalty the perfect start to the second half scoring a superb goal. In fairness Killary kept battling and got their reward with a well taken goal to leave only 3 points between the sides with 10 mins remaining. Moynalty's response was to the goal was quick with Shane Bennett getting their 2nd goal only a minute later. The next three scores were to come from Killary which was the last three scores of the game, which left Moynalty running out winner's by 3 points. A great all round team performance with some magnificent defending saw Moynalty reach the semi-final stage of the Championship. Special mention to Odhran Mc Mahon , Benjamin Grimm, Mickey Smyth and Caoimhín Cussen who all played excellent.
