What a great weekend we had last week celebrating the John West Féile Peile na nÓg. Moynalty/Carnaross hosted St. Senans GFC from west Limerick.
We played 4 games in total over the weekend, beginning on Friday evening v Boston and then Drumconrath / Meath Hill. An early start on Saturday, when we played our visitors St. Senans in Carnaross. Then off to Meath Hill to play St. Marys. Unfortunately, we didn't progress to the next round. Our visitors St. Senans won their group but were knocked out in the quarter finals, but that didn't dampen our spirits!
With the fabulous sunshine on our side we travelled back to Moynalty on Saturday evening and enjoyed a great evening in the Threshing Museum where we cooled down with icecream, enjoyed our "Duck Derby" and re-energised with curry, burgers etc. Our visitors also enjoyed a tour around the museum...and the river! Thank you to Moynalty Steam Threshing for the use of their facilities. We were delighted to host our visitors from St. Senans club. It was lovely to meet you all.
A huge thank you to parents, host families and the U14 Moynalty/Carnaross team and to Kevin & Ollie who organised and made sure we "followed the schedule" and all who helped behind the scenes to make this a weekend where friendships and memories were made.
Enjoy the pictures!
