Moynalty played St Vincent's in the first round of the Junior Championship in a cold wet Dunganny on Tuesday 10th April, with the original fixture due to be played on Saturday 7th April in Kilberry it was switched to Dunganny on Tuesday evening due to unplayable pitch.
Moynalty started the brighter and opened the scoring through a Paul Lynch point. St Vincent's replied with a point. Moynalty maintained the majority of possession for the next few minutes where Paul & Ronan Lynch added a point each. Vincent's got another point just before half time to leave the half time score Moynalty 0-03, St Vincent's 0-02.
St Vincent's opened the second half with a point. Paul replied with a point for Moynalty. Vincent's went through a spell and scored three unanswered points. There was hard hitting in this game where five yellows were shown to Vincent's. Moynalty never gave up and kept battling in difficult conditions and got two more scores from Paul Lynch free's to level the game. Great team performance and the lads showed great character to keep going in such conditions and share the points
